Prayers for Wednesday

***Update...Mandy's surgery was moved to 11:oo AM...Just wanted to let you know...Prayers are GREATLY appreciated!

Just wanted to let you know Mandy is having another surgery on Wednesday morning. It is a pretty big one, so your prayers are really appreciated.

They are redoing the ankle fusion, because it didn't work the first time. They are going back in to take out the rod in her leg, put in a plate and several screws in her ankle. They will have to cut through the skin graft, and as with any big surgery there is a chance of infection. They are not doing this one orthoscopically like the last, so it will be a harder recovery.

Her surgery will be at 9am on Wednesday morning. Please pray for peace for her right now, so that she will not be as anxious before the surgery. Please also pray for the doctors to know exactly what to do and how to do it, and the be able to execute it without any problems. Please pray that she will not have any reactions to the anethesia. And afterwards pray for healing, bone growth in her ankle, strength, and pray that her pain is relieved. Pray for encouragement in her spirit. This will be a longer recovery than the last, but pray it happens as quickly as possible and that it works this time.

Through all that has happened we have seen God's miracles, and we thank him immensly for each one. It is hard though to deal with continued dissapointment in so many surgeries not working out as hoped. I have seen her be so strong for so long, and she has fought so hard to overcome this. I know God is the great physician and healer. Please pray that he will take over in the operating room and guide the doctors. And pray for His healing power to touch her leg and heal it and for bone to grow as she begins recovery.

Throughout the past week I had been anxiously thinking and praying about the surgery and Mandy. Sunday morning during worship we sang "Mighty To Save," and God spoke to me through the song and reminded me that He is mighty to save her.

Savior.
He can move the mountains.
My God is Mighty to save.
He is Mighty to save.
Forever.
Author of salvation.
He rose and conquered the grave.
Jesus conquered the grave.

I am thankful that the same God who has the power to move mountains, to part the Red Sea, to take on the sin of all who believe and conquer death and roll that stone away, has the power to heal Mandy. And as hard as it is for me to watch her go through this, I must remember that He is the only one who will help her through this, and I must trust Him and know that He will not give her more than she can handle and that must have faith in him, and be patient to see Him do it in His time and in His way.

Please remember to pray Wednesday morning at 9 am. Thank you for supporting Mandy and our family through this! Love you all!

House Progress

**Another Update Below...4~30~09

Well, it has been a little bit since my last post...I was incredibly busy getting ready for my dance team's Spring Show which went really well! It was great to see the girls excitement during their performances, and very special to honor our seniors.

I didn't get to go by the house for a whole week, but Jason kept me updated, and a lot has been done!

They also installed the inside doors, baseboards, and the crown molding. Although, some of it is wrong, because they are not following our plans, so we'll have to talk to our builder tomorrow...Oh well, as long as it's done on time!

I'm so excited for my Aunt Darla to come this weekend...She lives in Florida but will be here for a week! I can't wait for her to see the house!

On another note they have canceled our dance team banquet this weekend along with all other afterschool/extracurricular activities for the next week due to the swine flu...I think it's a little crazy that they would cancel all that but not school, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed...I think every teacher could use a break right now! 5 weeks and 1 day until the end of school, not that I'm counting! :-)

Brick!

They started bricking our house today! I'll post more when they finish!

**Update...They FINISHED bricking our house today. It is so pretty and I am so excited to see it everytime I turn the corner on our street!

Fridge Poll

Jason and I spent Saturday shopping for a refrigerator for our new house. We want to narrow it down early and are planning to buy it around Memorial Day weekend, hoping for some big sales as well as the tax break on energy star appliances.

So I've been asking everyone what type of fridge they have and if they like it and why. So, if you'd be so kind to take the poll on the side or leave a comment we'd greatly appreciate your input!

We've settled on a black side by side, but are debating between a Whirlpool, Kenmore, and Frigidaire...

It's moving right along!

Well I haven't updated about the house in a little bit, but a lot certainly has happened in that time. We have a roof, they've installed all the electrical, plumbing, the duct work for the air conditioning, and delivered the drywall, sheetrock, and most exciting our BRICK!

Jason met with the builder for a presheetrock meeting on Monday. They were going to spend the rest of the week having all the inspections done on all of the electrical, plumbing, etc. before they install the insulation. Our builder gave us a general idea of a timeline for the next few weeks...if all goes well, they will start bricking the house sometime next week. I am sooooo excited for that! And I'm so relieved they delivered the brick and it is right...As they say, there can be some variation in color, so I've been scared that it would be off, or worse that they would deliver the wrong brick. And if all continues to go well we'll have cabinets in about 3 weeks!
