Go Tech!

Jason and I have been talking bout how we miss Lubbock...Particularly after watching the Tech vs. SMU game on tv...We really enjoyed our time there and have many special memories from college and dating there...So we were very excited to return for the Tech vs. Massachusetts game. My family gets season tickets every year and we always have a blast when we go to Lubbock! I can't wait until the Texas game!

Ok, I've promised pictures of my JV Starsteppers team...My parents came to the game last week, and my mom got a few I thought I would share...I will try to post more as the season goes on...

Jason's Parent's 30th Anniversary Party

This post is much much overdue!!! In July we threw a 30th Anniversary surprise party for Jason's parents. We invited family and some close friends of theirs who shared in their wedding day...It was really neat to bring so many special people in their life together to celebrate their marriage! (See the story of how Jason's parents met below...) Of course we forgot our camera in all the craziness in setting up for the party, so I am just now getting pictures to share...No worries!

I enjoyed planning and coordinating for the party! I used alot of pearls in the decor, because pearl is the traditional 30th anniversary gift. We also used yellow and mint green throughout, their wedding colors...Jason made one of his fabulous cakes for the event. (FYI: I will soon post again about his AMAZING cakes!)

They have such a funny story how they met...Larry and Glen were roommates in college, as were Sharie and Kathy. Glen and Sharie were engaged and Larry and Kathy were going to be their Maid of Honor and Best Man. They decided they should meet, and Larry and Kathy ended up dating, falling in love, and getting married 3 weeks before Glen and Sharie!

My Amazing Husband and Baker!

So I've been meaning for awhile to dedicate a post to my fabulous personal chef and amazing husband!

Two things that I love, love, love about my husband are that he is creative and he can do anything he puts his mind to! Seriously! If he decides he wants to learn something or make something he just does it!

Jason is an amazing cook, and a couple of years ago he decided to try his hand at baking fancy cakes...He has made several over the past year, so I thought I would dedicate a post to his fabulousness! (I just made that word up!)

This next cake he made this past January...Our "niece" Kaytlyn had her 1st birthday. She loves pink and loves butterflies!

The one below is a model of a palette for an 18 wheeler...He works for a transportation company as a Sales Account Manager...He made this for some of his coworkers...

A better week...

I am glad to say this week held much more good news than last! Thank you all for your prayers.

An update: Our band director's son had an amazing recovery and was up walking and talking towards the end of the week, and actually was able to go home! He will have a long road ahead with outpatient rehab, but we are thankful for his recovery, and amazed by the power of our God!

Also, my JV team had their first game on Thursday! I had knots in my stomach all day I was so nervous for them. They did very well though. They were very sharp and together! I feel a big relief we made it through our first game and the weather held out! I haven't gotten any pictures of the team yet...(So busy!) but I hope to get some to post next game, so check back!

I do however have a picture of the Varsity team, which I am an assistant for...Aren't they cute? They played in Frisco yesterday and also gave an excellent performance which the other team's side ooo'ed and aa'ed over! :-)





I am in the process of planning a baby shower for one of my best friend's in October...I have a lot of good ideas I've gathered, but if anybody has any ones they would like to share I would love your input of any cute decorations, food, or games you done or seen before!
